Soundbytes: Eve Gets Unstuck

It's all about Eve. Everywhere you look, she's on television. No complaints here.

The latest buzz: the singer turned designer turned actress is negotiating to play an HIV-positive lesbian in a biopic. Eve would portray television producer Merle Soden in the movie Getting Unstuck, based on her autobiography of the same name.

Soden professionally goes by the name Conscious; she formerly managed Queen Latifah, and hosted a show on Oxygen. She was molested as a child, and later contracted HIV from another woman. Conscious was homeless and lived on the streets before changing her life and making it as a producer.

While we're on the Eve tip, besides her self-titled Tuesday UPN show, you could have seen the Ruff Ryder on last night's Apprentice. She and other hip-hop and rock stars were donating time and services to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
